About the event
Our Junior Baker Day Camp is a hands-on baking experience designed for kids ages 8–12 who are ready to build confidence and independence in the kitchen. Campers will work side by side to bake a variety of baked goods while learning essential baking fundamentals in a fun, supportive, and structured environment.
Throughout the camp, children will explore different mixing methods, follow recipes step by step, and gain a deeper understanding of how ingredients work together. Instruction also includes kitchen safety, sanitation, and proper clean-up practices. Campers are expected to participate in washing their own dishes using a professional dishwasher and a three-compartment sink, reinforcing responsibility and real-world kitchen skills.
All baking ingredients, tools, aprons, and equipment are provided by Jamie Cakes. Each child will take home their freshly baked treats in pastry boxes provided at the end of the day.
