Whether you're an introvert or extrovert, attending a Cake N Sip is designed for you to unwind and learn a new skill. No mess to clean up afterwards, just sip on some wine and create something beautiful. The skills you learn in these classes are just the beginning of your cake decorating journey. Each class showcases a new design and allows you to be as creative as you want. Whether you follow along step by step or you create your own design.

What Is a Cake N Sip?
A Cake N Sip is an event where attendees come together to decorate cakes while enjoying wine or other beverages. At Jamie Cakes, we try to wait for everyone to get there before we start decorating. Following along with the step by step instructions is crucial to a well structured cake. The wine just helps with creativity and inspiration.
The concept is simple: you get a plain cake, decorating tools, and guidance from a professional pastry chef. While you sip your wine, you learn techniques like piping, fondant shaping, and color mixing.
The goal of a Cake ’n Sip is to relax and have fun while learning a new skill— no matter what level you're at. Plan a date with your significant other, have a night out with friends or family, or meet new people when you get there. There’s no pressure to socialize, no experience required, just a welcoming space to create, unwind, and enjoy the process.
Why Cake N Sip's Are So Popular
Cake N Sip's are popular because they offer a unique combination of creativity, socializing, and relaxation.
Here are some reasons why people love them:
Stress relief: Decorating cakes while drinking wine helps people unwind and focus on a creative task.
Skill building: No matter what level you're at, you're welcome! All you need is an open mind and some practice.
Social connection: These classes host up to 12 guests at a time, unless you schedule for a larger private group.
Memorable experience: Attendees take home the cakes they decorate in a pastry box provided by Jamie Cakes.
Cake N Sip events can be held at the Eugene location (Erin's Table Commissary Kitchen 1203 Willamette Street, Eugene, Or 97401 suite 160) or catered to a different location. Remember, Jamie Cakes is a pop-up style bakery. If you want to host a Cake N Sip at your house or at a venue, contact Jamie at 541-368-6549 or jamiecakeseugene@gmail.com

Tips for a Great Cake N Sip Experience
Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little messy.
Tie your hair back so it doesn't get in your way.
Don’t worry about perfection; mistakes help you grow.
Take mental or physical notes so you can remember them the next time you try to decorate a cake at home.
Be sure to arrange a designated driver. Jamie Cakes is not responsible for attendees who cannot drink responsibly.

Large Groups or Birthday Parties
Jamie Cakes is willing to travel. Book a private party at a location of your choosing. Whether it is at your house, at Jamie Cake's Eugene location, or a venue. You can have up to 20 attendees.
What you need to consider:
Choose the cakes
Decide whether to use cupcakes, bento cakes, or a single large cake for each guest.
Pick your flavors
Pick a flavor for your cake and buttercream. Depending on the design, you may need a specific flavor of buttercream.
Pick a design or theme
Is there a theme to the party? Jamie cakes can bring themed decorations or teach a specific design step by step.
Prepare the space
If you're hosting the event at home, you need tables with enough room for decorating and socializing. Cover surfaces to protect from spills. If you're unsure about the space you have, contact Jamie Cakes for suggestions.
Guest List
Private group classes need to have a minimum of people.
Create a relaxed atmosphere
Large groups tend to be loud. The more people there are, the less step by step instruction there will be. Larger events are designed to be more creative than instructional.

Benefits Beyond Fun
Cake N Sip parties offer more than just a good time. They can improve fine motor skills, boost confidence in decorating, and inspire new hobbies. For artists, the event provides a fresh canvas to explore edible art. For bakers, it’s a chance to practice techniques in a low-pressure setting.
The combination of cake decorating while drinking wine also encourages mindfulness. Focusing on the colors, textures, and shapes helps participants stay present and enjoy the moment.
